Nigeria defeated African champions Mali 2-0 to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
Tournament’s top scorer Victor Osimhen and Funsho Bamgboye scored in the second half, to seal a record fifth title for the Golden Eaglets.

They also become the second country after Brazil, to successfully defend their crown.
Emmanuel Amuneke’s boys failed to find their fluency in the first half and missed a penalty in the early exchanges, when Osinachi Ebere’s effort was saved by Samuel Diarra.
However, Osimhen found space in the area to finish first time past Diarra – his 10th of the competition. He is also the first player to score in every game of the championship.
Bamgboye then rifled past a static goalkeeper three minutes later.
