For The Love Of Man (III)

Two hands making a heart shape

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

(Genesis 1:28 KJV)

Should You Take Over A Troubled Relationship?

“I WOULDN’T. Definitely not”, declares my long time friend, Helen. “The lesson we learn early in life”, she continues.

“I still remember these neighbours when I was fourteen-years-old. They were a young Army officer and his pretty wife. He was a Captain, so we called by his official rank and called his wife Mama Edith because of their baby daughter who was named Edith.

Finding The Right Man

Relationship
HMMM. Now, this is not an easy task and I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have been asked the question, “Why is it so hard to find a good man?”

I think I may have even asked it myself a couple of times. But lately, in simply observing how people meet and “couple up,” I have noticed that dating is mostly a combination of three very simple things- access, opportunity and familiarity.

The Story Of Wife Whose Husband Cheated On

Cheating

WHILE I have been incredibly hurt by Doug’s repeated infidelities, the real twist of the knife has to be how naive I’d been for so many years. The bitter irony, of course, is that I am a relationship counselor, giving couples advice on how to avoid affairs.

Yet all the time, infidelity was going on right under my nose – and I never spotted it. When I met Doug in 1980 at a dinner with friends in Battersea, London, it wasn’t lust at first sight.

RE- ‘I Placed A Curse On My Ex- Boyfriend ’

Relationship

Hi, I am Simon Ajayi by name. I read your story online and decided to contribute since you requested for that. The truth is that forgiveness is not just a mere pronunciation of the word ‘I forgive you’ but rather an act of meditation and solicitation for God to also forgive that person you have forgiven.

Yes, Mike made a big mistake from the onset which he has realised now, but you yourself made a bigger mistake for placing a serious course on him.

Another African President Tries To Change The Constitution For Third Term

One of the protesters

“CONGO is not a monarchy”, say the protesters; but it is looking a bit like one. The last few days have been gloomy for pro-democracy campaigners in Congo-Brazzaville, the small neighbour of the gigantic Democratic Republic of Congo. Its president, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, called a constitutional referendum for October 25th that would change the rules to allow him a third term; he is also currently barred on account of his age.

In the run-up, opposition groups have mobilised in large numbers, staging demonstrations in Brazzaville, the capital, and Pointe Noire, the second biggest city. On social media, the phrase “Sassoufit”—a pun on the French for “that’s enough”—went viral, prompting the reply “Sassoui” from government supporters.

Hurricane-Patricia-in-mexico

Record-breaking Hurricane Patricia appeared to leave remarkably little damage as it moved rapidly inland over mountainous western Mexico early Saturday and weakened to tropical depression status, though authorities warned it could still cause deadly floods and mudslides.

Patricia, which peaked as the strongest hurricane on record in the Western Hemisphere, made landfall Friday on a sparsely populated stretch of Mexico’s Pacific coast as a Category 5 storm, avoiding direct hits on the resort city of Puerto Vallarta and major port city of Manzanillo.

The long tail black gown, which the mulato actress wore to the award ceremony, is still being talked about. Even her colleagues agree that the film producer and singer’s dress and hairdo was matchless and was second to none.

An Event Planner Or An Event Doer?

EVENT----Copy

Event Planners are busy people. Every event has so many moving parts that it is easy for Event Planning to turn into Event Doing. But the danger with all of this doing is that we can lose sight of why we are hosting the event in the first place and what success really means.

A great plan will lead to the implementation of an event that fulfills a vision. In this article we explore how to get started with the planning process.

11 Signs That He Might Be Having An Affair

troubled-couple-1

When news of Sandra Bullock’s husband’s infidelity surfaced, just days after she gave him a shout-out during her Oscar acceptance speech for The Blind Side, she seemed…well, blindsided. The truth is, few straying men come home covered in lipstick stains and reeking of another woman’s perfume.

While the signs are rarely that obvious, if you’re willing to look, they’re almost always there, according to Danine Manette, private investigator and author of Ultimate Betrayal. So how do you know whether all the Hollywood cheating scandals are making you paranoid or if your partner’s actually in the arms of another woman? Check out some changes in behavior that could mean he’s looking for love elsewhere.

The Endless War Against Prostitution

Prostitutes

ANY time I hear that the Police are clearing prostitutes off the streets, I have mixed feelings. I approve of the effort, because they work to clear the streets of what they perceive as nuisance. But I do not always understand the point of doing that, because it does not work.

If those raids have been effective, the commercial sex trade would have ceased to thrive on the streets.
As far as I can remember, I have heard of Police raids in major roads and popular streets in Lagos metropolis, especially.

Do Yourself A Favour, Love Your Event Attendees

EVENT-7-8-15-Copy

EVENTS are hard work. They take a lot of planning, organization, time, money and focus. Sometimes we get so lost in the details that we forget about the people.

They become numbers on a spreadsheet or name badges at a registration table. Yet, ultimately what is most rewarding about planning events is seeing the effect they have on the people who attend.
Everyone has had an experience of being at an event where they felt like an outsider. If you treat your attendees as ‘just another name badge’ they will leave your event feeling deeply unsatisfied and unlikely to return next year.

Steph-Nora Okere Makes A Rebound With Roberta

Steph

THERE are no two Steph-Nora Okere in Nollywood. The only person by that name is the multi-talented University of Ife-trained theatre artiste who has remained relevant in the movie industry as butter is to bread.

Time it was when ‘Steph’, as the Imo State native is simply called, featured in six out of every 10 movies released in Nollywood. For most movie producers then, common sense dictated that Steph should be in the mix if the movie required a steady actress. She was that relevant.
