The president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick and self acclaimed NFF boss Chris Giwa on Wednesday, January 20 almost came to blows at the National Stadium Package B where a peace meeting as called by Minister for Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung.

Bundesliga: I’m not sure of my team’s form – Guardiola

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola admits he is unsure of his team’s form ahead of Friday’s Bundesliga match at Hamburg in the wake of their shock defeat at Karlsruhe.
Bayern lost 2-1 at second division Karlsruhe last Saturday in their final warm-up before facing Hamburg away in the first German league match of 2016.

And Guardiola admits it will take him a few matches to discover just how good Bayern are following the four-week winter break.
“I don’t know at which level my team is playing at right now, we will need three or four games before I know that,” he said in Thursday’s press conference.

“I probably won’t even know after the game in Hamburg.”
Having announced he will leave Bayern in June, Guardiola’s team is currently eight points clear in the Bundesliga table and bidding to become the first club to win the German league title four years in a row.
Guardiola has said he wants to coach in England’s Premier League next season.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has denied making a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

With both Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho sidelined through injury and Mauro Zarate closing in on a deal to join Fiorentina, Bilic is keen to bolster his attacking options in the transfer window.

But the Hammers boss has dismissed speculation that Sturridge, the England striker who has featured just six times for the Reds this season due to a string of injuries, is poised for east London.

Amokachi appointed as head coach of Hercules

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) 2015/2016 season which resumes on February 21 will be full of glamour as IfeanyiUbah Football Club of Nnewi have signed 10 Brazilian nationals.
Six of the players touched-down in Lagos on Wednesday and will head straight to Ibadan where the team is camping to meet up with their colleagues.
 
The players arrived at the Murtala Muhammed Airport at about 1.30pm same day.
Speaking to reporters at the airport, club chairman Chukwuma Ubah hailed the historic event and urged the players to do their best so they can earn their contracts with the club.
