I want to govern Ondo State because I think it is time for Ondo State to make a serious choice. I think the people of Ondo State are crying; they are in pain because there is a lot of poverty, because the state is not developed. But, Ondo State is a wealthy state; wealthy in human and material resources. It has mineral resources, such as bitumen in abundance. It also has a lot of potentials for agriculture and several other areas. Ondo State deserves better. I believe that if I given the opportunity to govern the state, I can bring serious change. We can develop our mineral resources; we can develop our agriculture for export, because we deserve better.

Where is widespread belief that Imo State Government still owes civil servants several months despite the bailout from the Federal Government. Was the bailout for clearing of outstanding salaries not enough or as some state governments, like Ekiti State are saying, there was no bailout in the first place but quarterly allocation to the state?

Imo And The Plight Of Workers

Some staff of Imo State Government are now
facing an ordeal that no citizen of Nigeria
should be allowed to see. Persons who spent the better part of their productive years in the service of their State should not be rewarded with evil.

About 3,000 workers are said to have woken up one day and heard that the Imo State Government was no longer responsible for their salaries anymore. Yet, this is a government that had promised a better deal for the people and employment for the army of the unemployed in the State.
According to our source, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State had directed that workers in all the parastatals and agencies of the State Government should be notified that the State Government would no longer be responsible for their salaries.
