The winner of the Kid Actor category of the BON Awards in 2014, Olamide Davids, is dead.
Davids’s death was announced by BON in a statement on Tuesday.


The Executive Director of BON Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, said in the statement: “We are saddened by the sudden death of the winner of best kid Actor 2014 Olamide Davids which happened last weekend. Olamide was a shinning star waiting to explode.

“We take solace in the fact that within the short time you were here you gave us materials which will linger in our memories.
“We pray that this day won’t come again when we would have to mourn a young star. May God grant his parents the fortitude to bear this great loss.”
