No doubt, 2015 will go down as an eventful year for the Nigerian showbiz industry. From Nollywood to music as well as comedy; it witnessed a number of marriages, blockbusters, runaway hits, scandals, dramas as well as deaths!

As the year’s curtains draw to a close, we bring you the major events, people and social media tantrum that shook the entertainment industry in the past twelve months.

ACP Olabisi: A hallmark of transformation

 

 Commendations have not ceased coming the way of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, for appointing a listening, critical, easy going officer to manage the image of the Nigeria Police. Arase, with his inestimable vision, is widely believed to be spot on when he, on August 28, gave the Force its first female Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, in the person of Mrs Olabisi Alofe Kolawole.

I have been harassed by women – Segun Arinze

 Nollywood act, Segun Arinze, has disclosed how female fans flock around him and how he has been able to escape them by simply ‘ignoring their excesses.’



Speaking with New telegraph, the actor said, “For some actors in the industry, they would be carried away by fame and fortune but for me, I have been able to strike a balance of what I want and how I go about the things I do.

“And also, I ignore female excesses. I try as much as I can to ignore it.

“Over time I have been harassed but I choose to be wise about.

“I think you fall when you want to fall. It’s a personal decision to be silly or wise,” the father of six added.

Budding Nollywood actress and make up artiste, Tosin Abeniade Badmus is reportedly dead.
Badmus, who broke into the movie industry few years back was said to have died in the early hours of Monday.


 



Although, DAILY POST is yet to ascertain the cause of her death, viral reports say the young lady had been bedridden for some weeks prior to her death.
